Applebee’s Sizzling Smokehouse Chicken Stack
From Applebee’s:
Grilled chicken breast seasoned with BBQ spices then topped with shaved ham, Applewood smoked bacon and melted cheddar cheese. Served atop two corn cakes with a BBQ demi-glaze and a side of cheesy corn (contains bacon).
Full disclosure, I haven’t eaten this dish.
This is one of the grossest looking dishes I’ve ever seen. I’m not sure what flavor Applebee’s is going for here, but this looks like a bucket of slop. I hope America is ready for this.

Looks OK to me… Chicken with BBQ, smoked meats and cheese is sure nothing new and a very tasty combo. The corn cakes or something similar are often served as a side in many authentic wood fire BBQ places.
The cheese corn looks a little ridiculous to me. Kind of a mess and a lot of unnecessary calories there. But, how bad can anything smothered in cheese and bacon be?… lol.
I had the corn cakes today (a side order, wanted to try them.) Delicious!!! We don’t have other restaurants that offer this delicious kind of thing in my town, and I loved it!
I admire Applebee’s for the changes on their menus that favor those of us that love to eat out, but want to limit the calories etc. The limited calorie drinks, the limited calorie entrees, and the tiny ‘sampler’ desserts are very good choices. I always can come to Applebees for a guilt free but delicious meal. I also so admire Applebee’s consistency. I know what I will get when I order is the same I had the last time I ordered it. Staff very good, I admire the Manager at our Applebee’s in Northfiled, MN. His name is Tyler, and he is very thorough and thoughtful.
Pretty Frekkin delicious is RIGHT. I had this yesterday and would go back to today to get it again. Those corn cakes were so hot and delicious! And the corn was fabulous. Definitely recommend it!
I had this for lunch today. Best thing I have eaten at applebee’s, ever. I shared it with others at my table, and they all loved it.
The meal was good with the exception of the BBQ sauce. The so called sauce was absoluetly the most vile sauce that I have ever tasted. Without the sauce I’d give the meal 10 out of 10 though.
Where can I find the recipe for the corn cakes with BBQ demi-glaze that is served with the Smokehouse Chicken Stack? I had this dish last night. It was killer delicious. The corn cakes are great and appeared to have creamed corn in them. I checked the internet for the recipe but could not find it. PLEASE help!!

I know, the recipe does sound sort of weird but all of the flavors together make up a pretty amazing dish. Actually, this is the best thing I’ve ever had there.

Had this dish the other evening. In the vein of new trends this dish is what I would classify a deconstructed cordon bleu, without the bleu but cheddar. The flavors work very well together but the corn cakes, OMG. I need the recipe to replicate at home.
I thought it looked gross, too, but it is AMAZING! I’ve had it twice now and I just love it, it is an amazing flavor combo.

Love this dish best thing at applebees ever seperate and on its own id say that everything was sub par but as a chef myself I must say there combination of flavors is amazing a dish is about the flavor in the dish as a whole and sometimes that is what applebees is missing with goodd components that don’t make a great dish for their market value the corn cakes really do bring the dish together as a whole on texture alone…cheesy corn is a fairly basic recipe the only addition is jalapenjos I do believe the corn cakes are just a simple buttermilk pancake with corn and cheese but I’m gonna mess with it at my restaurant and try to figure it out however I must say as someone with a rather

I ordered this dish at Applebees, it was great. It reminded me of a country style dish, if you love country cooking, you’ll love this dish.
