Help! Got Fruli?

In London, I had a pint at my first authentic pub. Obviously, it was a little different than our idea of a pub. Families can go there to eat dinner, there’s a wider variety of people and ages, and the atmosphere is very nice and laid back.
While there, I had my favorite beer of all time, Fruli. It’s almost unfair to call it a beer because it was more like an alcoholic strawberry juice. It’s a very mild Belgium wheat beer and it’s unbelievably good. The bar had it on draught and a lot of people seemed to be ordering and enjoying it.
Here’s the dilemma now: HOW TO GET FRULI IN THE STATES? I’ve seen some mentions of it being imported here, but I can’t find any sites where I can actually purchase it by the bottle… the case… the truckload.
Any suggestions?
I must say Michelle you have some good taste in beer. I too love the Belgium beers. My favorite recently has been Chimay (blue label). Something about Belgium; must have been all those monks working the long hours. Good post
I’ve never tried Fruli, but I frequent the Gingerman. I’ve tried a rasberry beer they serve there that sounds similar. Sometimes they mix it with the Chocolate Double Stout for a rasberry/chocolate combination.
Lindemans Framboise will be very similar utilizing raspberries.
James, I think the raspberry beer you’re thinking of it actually the one LeeDog recommended too!
Lindeman’s is delicious for sure & it’s honestly the closest beer to Fruli that I’ve had. Fruli is… punchier, if that makes sense. It’s sweeter than Framboise but not in a syrupy way. Still on the look out, but thank you so much for the comments!! Chocolate & raspberry = the best
Well if you find a place to get it here keep us updated!
And keep up the great work, love the blog!
So, how does it taste bottled?
Teresa’s question makes me think you’ve already found it, but I spotted some at Central Market Southlake. Stare at the beer (I do this often) then turn to your right. It’s on the unrefrigerated shelf with other oddly shaped bottles. 3.99.
Yeah, I found a bottle at the Central Market on Lovers Lane, but it was in the refrigerated section there. Bought a bottle to enjoy for myself. thanks for the rec!
