Ooooh French Toast! My breakfast favorite too! Yum yum yum! The best French Toast I ever had was in some random little cafe while on a motorcycle road trip from San Francisco to Portland. I wish I knew where it was as no other F.T. has been able to compare since. Maybe I'll have to repeat the trip someday and see if I can find it! Anyway, I personally blame you and your review for making me want to go out and eat at Hattie's right now. Somehow I think the plane ticket I would need to buy would negate the savings of the $7 breakfast, but maybe it would be worth the journey? Keep up the great review work!

I love French Toast!! I'm already on that Burrito/Cheeseburger/Sandwich connoisseur train. Dare I add French Toast??? And with Bananas Foster sauce?? And for only $7?? I cannot contain my excitement. So jealous.

Hattie's is really a great value, especially at brunch. Sharing is a great way to go, that way you can sample a couple different things. My friends and I love going there on Sundays; wonderful atmosphere, great staff and excellent food!

This looks a little sweet for me. I think the sharing deal might work, though.

Gotta chime in for La Duni. Alo is good, too. The La Duni "benedict" served in a popover is just delicious. In fact, we need to go back to that place sometime soon. They have excellent mojitos, too.

my very favorite thing at La Duni (finally at NorthPark! a restaurant worth eating at... in the mall) are the popovers. so good

ricotta ain't cheap and I've never had another pancake that demanded I eat it without syrup. think about it, you have to syrup every other pancake in the world because they aren't cloud cakes. cloud cakes are heavenly. obvi
