International Wildlife Park! That was in Grand Prairie. I went went I was little. Fossil Rim is very much like that. Hammond’s is delightful. If you want to go all fancy, try Rough Creek Lodge, also in Glen Rose.

Margie, you worked at the one in Grand Praire? how cool is that! Fossil Rim is sooo close to the fossil park. It’s literally down the freeway. You should definitely go

Wonderful fun! My husband took me there as a surprise when we were first dating. I had worked at the wildlife park in Grand Prairie when I was in high school. I can’t believe Glen Rose’s park is still open. Now I’m dying to go! We go to Glen Rose every year for “Fossil-mania”. Maybe this year we’ll skip the fossils and go see the animals instead. Oh, and yes, we eat BBQ every time we go there.

Oh man, talk about memories, I used to go there in Jr Highschool, we went to Glen Rose for week each year as since we were an “Environmental Science Academy” read “Geek training ground” I think that food was the last thing on my mind back then. But those images make wonder now. I think that would be great to take my neice to so I can relive my childhood again, I mean so the city girl can see nature.

Brings back memories of my own trip to Natural Bridge Wildlife Park in New Braunfels earlier this year. Those zebras can get mighty aggressive!!!

Your photos of the animals are lovely! I finally invested in a Canon Rebel XTI so hopefully my photos will turn out better from now on. But there’s a big learning curve with this camera before I fully realize how to effectively use it, I think
